It stays soft in the cold and won’t melt in the heat, so it tastes the same at 0500 in freezing temperatures as it does at noon in the desert. No heating, no water, no prep. Open it and eat.

The ration is a separate product built only for government customers. It’s aligned with military nutrition guidelines instead of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and it’s packaged in MIL-PRF-44073J flexible pouches made to hold up in field conditions.
The PB&J Ration has a 2+ year shelf life, real-time validated at 80°F, and we are currently validating 3+ years in real time. No refrigeration is needed. It stays soft in the cold and won’t melt in the heat.
It contains no gluten, eggs, or dairy, and no artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols. It does contain peanuts.
